Description
The consultant will play a key role in two main areas: strategic design & implementation, and interim operational support.
Strategic Design & Implementation
- Develop and roll out a harmonized payroll and HR administration framework across six key countries: Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Germany, and the UK.
- Conduct a thorough needs assessment and gap analysis of current payroll processes.
- Support the integration of the selected global payroll vendor.
- Ensure full compliance with national labour laws, GDPR, and relevant EU regulations.
- Define and document payroll governance structures and internal control frameworks.
- Prepare go-live plans, including testing, training documentation, and readiness reviews.
Operational Continuity & Interim Support
- Ensure uninterrupted payroll and HR administration for Belgium and the Netherlands (approximately 90 employees).
- Oversee the relationship with current Employer of Record (EOR) partners in Italy, Sweden, Finland, and France (approx. 5 employees).
- Coordinate offboarding and dismissal procedures linked to the reorganization, in close collaboration with the Global HR Director, local HR teams, and legal advisors.
- Ensure a smooth handover process from the outgoing Payroll Manager.
- Define the job description and lead the recruitment process for the future Global Payroll & Admin Manager (to start in 2026).
Exigences
Profile and Requirements
- Proven experience in multi-country European payroll and HR administration.
- Demonstrated success in payroll centralization and transformation projects.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and statutory requirements in Belgium and the Netherlands.
- Experience with Employer of Record providers is considered a plus.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken); other European languages are an advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and project management capabilities.
