HDMP

HDMP has been a leading producer of medical software for general practitioners since 1986. Last year, they were on the front line of the coronavirus crisis alongside general practitioners. Fortunately, they were able to count on the support of HR Partners throughout this ordeal.

Although the company has just twenty-five employees, HDMP is a key player in its field in Belgium. "We're not a huge company in Belgium; we're part of a large French multinational," explains the general manager Johan Spincemaille. "For this reason, we don't have our own HR department and we've already been using Partena Professional for our payroll for many years. Since we had some HR questions, our payroll officer referred us to HR Partners."

FOCUS ON TALENT

HR Partners helped HDMP to train their internal staff and they re-wrote all the company's job descriptions until the coronavirus crisis hit. "Everyone suddenly had to work from home, and given that we develop software for GPs, there was no shortage of work," recalls Johan. "We instinctively felt that this situation would create its own set of problems. So we decided to help our staff to feel comfortable in their work again. After all, we're not a production company and we really need the talent we currently have. And employees can only be effective when they feel good.

WELL-BEING PROJECT

The first essential step was obvious according to Johan: "We had to assess the state of mind of our employees. To what extent had their work-life balance changed during the crisis? Where were the obstacles and how could they be overcome? But we had no experience of this. So we asked HR Partners for help. That's how the Well-Being Project began.

"HR Partners provided us with the best possible guidance from the first meeting right through to the delivery of the results. I think the project lasted about two months. We received the results a few weeks ago : a very thorough debriefing with all the results. They showed that our performances were more than satisfactory compared to the Belgian average. This does not mean, however, that we should rest on our laurels. The survey also highlighted a number of obstacles. Fortunately, HR Partners did more than just deliver the survey results. They have also proposed solutions that we can apply directly to reduce the stress levels of our employees.

When we ask Johan what the main advantage of HR Partners is, the answer is immediate: "One of the strong points of HR Partners is that they give concrete advice that you can put straight into practice. HDMP is in a niche sector that's not always easy to get to grips with, but HR Partners' advice is always exactly what we need. I suppose that this quality is due to the fact that they themselves are very close to business life. All the people I had personal contact with were experts in their field. They know exactly what they're doing and monitor the situation meticulously. I can therefore entrust projects to them with peace of mind.
