Zoetis

"HR Partners and its consultants have enabled us to successfully complete the Development Centers and the skills assessment phase. “

As the world's leading animal health company, the international group Zoetis is also active in Belgium, more particularly at its Louvain-la-Neuve site. This is where the American company is currently relying on the expertise of HR Partners to carry out an ambitious project targeting the development of managerial skills.

"Our objective? Develop the skills of all our managers, from team leaders to top management. We want to develop the skills they need today, but also those they will need to call upon tomorrow," explains Dimitri Morel, HR Lead for this Belgian production and R&D site with more than 330 employees.

"To meet this challenge, we needed a partner with expertise in this type of exercise. We had already collaborated with HR Partners' consultants, so their name came up very naturally, as this project is in line with their core skills. We have currently completed the first step of the process, that of diagnosing the skills to be developed. And in so doing, we were able to rely on HR Partners. Among other things, they supported us during the Development Centers, these individual assessment sessions conducted by their consultants.”

Cross-business and individual development plans

This intense work has already yielded its first results, as confirmed by Dimitri Morel:

"Through this exercise, we have confirmed general trends. These results will now serve as a basis for cross-business development plans that complement the individual development plans from the Development Centers.“

A sustainable approach to skills development

And what is next? For Dimitri Morel, expectations are clear:

"What we are aiming for is a sustainable approach to skills development. When working on soft skills, not only the right behaviours must be triggered, they must also be sustained. HR Partners has a clear vision of what it takes to achieve this. What we like about them? Their contribution to the design of the project, with a precise definition of each step, their continuous improvement approach and their knowledge of our sector and its values. They have real added value to offer in the field. This was particularly the case for the communication component: everything is going according to plan, which helped to establish the credibility of the project. The result? Employees have fully embraced it and invested the necessary energy.“
